# Eligibility and setup

Pilot uses a five-step setup flow.

## Eligibility

* Minimum strategy-account balance: **10,000 USDC**
* Supported denomination: **USDC only**
* Supported markets: **HYPE and BTC**
* The strategy account must not contain unrelated positions, orders or tokens

Pilot deploys all available USDC in the selected strategy account.

## Step 1 — Check wallet

Connect a Hyperliquid wallet. Monetrix performs a read-only check of:

* Available USDC
* Current account state
* Eligibility to continue

Do not add unrelated tokens to the strategy account after the service starts.

## Step 2 — Prepare account

Choose between:

* Creating a new dedicated Hyperliquid subaccount, or
* Using the currently connected wallet after it passes an isolation check

Existing subaccounts are not offered for selection because Monetrix cannot assume they are unused.

## Step 3 — Configure strategy

Choose:

* HYPE or BTC
* Conservative, Normal or Aggressive mode

The interface shows expected APY, target HF, price buffer, capital use and trading costs.

## Step 4 — Authorize

Two approvals are displayed separately.

### API wallet authorization

The user reviews:

* API wallet address
* Managed account address
* Trade-only permission
* Expiration date
* Confirmation that withdrawals are not allowed

### Builder approval

The user approves a maximum builder fee of **0.02% per executed trade**.

Performance fees are not part of the builder approval.

## Step 5 — Review and start

The final review shows the complete configuration and verifies that the selected strategy account contains at least 10,000 USDC.

Selecting **Start strategy** opens a final confirmation explaining that Monetrix will use the available USDC to create the matched spot and perpetual positions.
